Tulip City volleyball alumni continue to make an impact at the collegiate level this fall.

UNI Freshman Emily Holterhaus, a four-time All-State honoree at Pella, is picking up steam in her debut season. Over her past four games for the Panthers, Holterhaus has 39 kills to just five errors, good for a .404 hitting percentage. In 45 sets this season, Holterhaus has 90 total kills. UNI is 6-8, but after a tough non-conference schedule, the Missouri Valley Conference favorites begin league play Friday and Saturday in Cedar Falls.

The Horstman sisters are key players on the No. 2 team in the NAIA nationally, the Northwestern Red Raiders in Orange City. A.J. Kacmarynski and younger sister Bekah have 150 and 120 kills respectively, with AJ hitting .228 and Bekah at a .402 average. Younger sister has 55 blocks as well for the 16-0 Red Raiders.

In 71 sets for the Wartburg Knights, Pella alumna Natalie Clayberg has become a key player on that roster. She has tallied 145 kills and 122 digs for the 12-6 Knights. Former Teammate Kennady Klein is seeing time in the defense rotation for Nebraska Wesleyan, with 60 digs in 33 sets played as the Prairie Wolves sit at 7-4 overall.

Former Pella Christian Eagles Emma Huisman and Madysen Zula are members of the 8-5 Trinity Christian Trolls, who are undefeated in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference action so far this season. Huisman had 9 assists in her first action of the season earlier this week, and Zula has 19 kills in four matches played.

A junior at Iowa Wesleyan, Jenna Murphy is averaging 5.15 digs per set, 3rd in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Earlier this month, Murphy was the conference Defensive Player of the Week. The Tigers are 5-8 overall.
