While we have been telling you about the Knoxville and Pella rivalry match up this week, there is another rivalry game on Marion County this week. Twin Cedars hosting Melcher-Dallas. The Saints and Sabers have not played for that long as the series started in 1990 with the Saints leading 16-11. Twin Cedars Coach Cam Parker tells KRLS Sports this rivalry means a lot to him, being a Twin Cedars alum. Melcher-Dallas Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports it does not matter what the records of the respective teams are, this is always a big game. The Saints won a wild 60-56 game last season and had to fend off a Twin Cedars comeback effort. Both teams have struggled to get out of the gate this season with Twin Cedars at 1-4 and are coming off a 20-18 set back to Meskwaki Settlement last week and Melcher-Dallas at 1-3.
