Central College’s 4-0 start has caught the attention of voters in the American Football Coaches Association top 25 poll. The Dutch have cracked the AFCA rankings for the first time in 2019, debuting at No. 23. Central is just outside the top 25 in the D3football.com rankings, but among those receiving votes. It’s Central’s first appearance in the national rankings since last Oct. 15, 2018, when the Dutch were at No. 20 before dropping out and closing the year at 8-2. Central is home Saturday to meet the University of Dubuque in a 1 p.m. game at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium, which can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
