In the fall regular season finale for the Central College women’s tennis team Tuesday night, the Dutch shut out Simpson College 9-0. Central (5-6, 4-4 American Rivers Conference) has won 13 straight duals against the Storm (3-6, 3-5 conference). Five of those victories have come with a 9-0 score. The Dutch honored their lone senior, Knoxville Native Sami Thompson, as she won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles. Maddie Hartley and Pella native Bronwyn Metcalf, a sophomore, won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles. Starting Friday morning, Central will be playing in the American Rivers Conference individual championships. The two-day competition will be held in Waterloo.
