The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in special session Tuesday afternoon. The board discussed employee health insurance renewal and the job requirements of a potential HR position, with no official action taken. The board also discussed the secondary road shop site project, and the possible funding avenues for the project. The project is expected to cost $7 million, with $1.5 million coming from the Warren County Engineer’s Office budget. Two options presented to the board was to take out a general fund loan for the remaining cost, which would have to be paid out through the general fund, or to put the project up for vote on a bond issue in 2020. No official action was taken, but the board gave direction to Warren County Engineer David Carroll to put a proposal together to be voted on at a later date. The board also voted 3-0 in support of the Indianola Wastewater Treatment Plant project, and awarded a bid to Herberger Construction for $352k for landslide stabilization on Highway R63.
