Octoberfest events will be held throughout Knoxville tomorrow as the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and local businesses celebrate the first ever Knoxville Octoberfest. Octoberfest will be held in conjunction with Knoxville High School Homecoming events tomorrow and Saturday. The weekend will be full of things to do for alumni coming back home as the Knoxville Alumni Association will host their annual Homecoming Dance tomorrow from 7 pm to 11:30 pm at Dyer Hudson Hall on the Marion County Fairgrounds. Then on Saturday the alumni will hold their first ever bags tournament as part of the Octoberfest event. The tournament will be held on the square at the Atlantic and Pacific beer garden Saturday at 2 pm. The tournament is $20 per team or $25 the day of. Local businesses will also hold different events on the square throughout the weekend to celebrate. The community-wide effort will include live music, food, drinks, store sales, dances, football and more. The Atlantic and Pacific Pub will also host their BBQ for Badges event tomorrow and Saturday as well with sampling taking place Saturday from 5 to 7 pm. All proceeds from the BBQ for Badges event will go towards Marion County Emergency Services.
