The rich tradition of cross country excellence continued for the Pella boys and girls cross country teams after they qualified for a return trip to state. For the 14th consecutive season, the Lady Dutch earned a spot among the final 15 teams, and for the 14th time in 15 seasons, the Pella boys did the same after both placed 3rd at the district meet at Central College.

While Knoxville’s teams at Central were in 8th in both races, the highlight of the day came from freshman Norah Pearson, who finished 2nd as an individual to claim a solo bid to Fort Dodge in Class 3A.
