The Pleasantville volleyball team will open the postseason Monday evening after earning a first round bye in Class 2A Region 5. The 16-8 Trojans will face Pella Christian, the team who knocked them out of the playoffs last year. The 18-20 Eagles advanced to Monday’s quarterfinal following a 3-0 win over Interstate 35 on Tuesday. The two Marion County teams will square off Monday evening with the winner advancing to the regional semifinals on Thursday against either Van Buren or Cardinal. The match begins at 7:00 p.m. at Pleasantville High School.
