The PCM Mustangs fell in the second round the Iowa high school state football playoffs Friday to the OABCIG Falcons 48-20. The Mustangs were outmatched by speed as the Falcon junior quarterback Cooper DeJean seemed unstoppable offensively as he connected on multiple touchdown passes as well as ran for two scores. Dejean seemed to be on another level and the PCM Mustangs just could not seem to corral the quarterback. On the offensive side of things for the Mustangs and the one bright spot throughout the game was sophomore running back Aiden Anderson who also seemed to be on another level gaining most of the offensive yards for PCM throughout the game. The Falcon’s quick scoring offense and the play by Dejean lead the Falcons to the win despite the play of Anderson as they will now head to the UNI Dome for semifinal action and the Mustangs end their season at 8-3 overall.
