NCMP Aquagirls from Fall 2019

Pella High School swimmers with the NCMP Newton Aquagirls competed at the state meet over the weekend. Newton scored 11 team points and was the 24th place team in the event. The 200 medley relay of Lady Dutch swimmers Maylei Ruggles, Kenzie Van Maanen, and Hannah Nedder, as well as teammate Lillie Ray, placed 14th overall, scoring six points with a time of 1:52.34. Nedder was 14th in the 100 yard butterfly finals with a time of 58.96 after swimming in the preliminaries Friday. Nedder, Ruggles, and Newton teammates Maggie Garrett and Ray were the 16th fastest in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:41.45. Nedder with the Cardinals’ Lauren Zaabel, Erika VanSickle, and Ray were 19th in the 400 free relay at 3:45.84.
