The Pella Community Foundation Board of Directors have announced a new Impact Grant program. It is intended to play a key role in providing significant funding to projects that strengthen Pella by addressing major initiatives and promising opportunities. Through this grant, the Foundation seeks to create a meaningful impact around community issues. Projects which will be considered for funding should address a significant community need; show a strong probability for leveraged funding from other sources; are collaborative in nature; and are sustainable to ensure community impact well beyond the grant period. Jim Brandl, President of the Foundation, said, “An Impact Grant will range from $15,000 to $25,000 with initially one grant awarded annually. In addition the Foundation has budgeted $75,000 to fund Board Directed grants which each range up to $5,000.” The application deadline for all grants is today.
