A pair of Tulip City athletes will represent Pella on this year’s Tulip Time Royal Court.

Ellie Roorda of Pella Cross Country and Track and Molly Bolt of Pella Christian Volleyball and Soccer were both selected among the five high school seniors who will tour the state next spring ahead of the 85th Tulip Time.

Both Roodra and Bolt incorporated their athletics in portions of their presentations at the Tulip Queen’s Announcement Party Saturday night. Roodra focused largely on her running career as she shared her passion with the audience at Pella Christian High School.

The two will join Queen Hanna Kendall, Courtney Chaplin, and Jocelyn Gritters on this year’s Royal Court in Pella. Hear more from the group on today’s Let’s Talk Poella.
