The Pleasantville City Council met in regular session Monday. The council approved a sewer adjustment for 701 N. Washington Street as well as held a discussion regarding amending the agenda format and council packets to include as much information as possible to the city website for public knowledge.They approved a payment to Iowa Civil Contracting as well as approved the disposal of an interest in real estate regarding the property located at 407 N. Business Highway 5. The council approved the School Choice Week Proclamation making the week of January 26th through February 1st, 2020 as Pleasantville School Choice Week. They also approved the supplemental agreement with Snyder & Associates to apply for Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance TAP funding for the Highway 5 Trail Project. The council approved a $500 sponsorship request for the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce Christmas in the Park event as well as approved the purchase of a Dump Truck for the city with a price not to exceed $23,650.
