American Rivers Conference play starts today for the Simpson men’s and women’s basketball squads, as they host the Spartans of Dubuque. The Storm women are 1-1 on the young season, only participating in a tip-off tournament against out-of-state teams, and have also yet to play with their full roster as leading scorer Jenna Taylor was not available for the first two games. The Storm men are a little more tested, having played seven games overall with a 5-2 record that includes a 161 point game from over the weekend. Simpson is getting stellar production from their top three leading scorers, all returning all-conference honorees, in Conor Riordan, Adam Reiter, and Kyle Wagner, who are all averaging over 16 points per game. The doubleheader tonight begins at 5:30pm.
