The Pella City Council will set a public hearing date at their meeting Tuesday for a significant upgrade to the city’s wastewater treatment plant. The council is beginning the process of what the city anticipates will be a nearly $5 million project in Iowa DNR mandated improvements as it relates to earning updated permits. If the project remains on schedule, it could start as soon as late this winter and be completed by late 2021. The Pella City Council meeting begins Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
