The Mahaska County Soil and Water Conservation District and South Skunk River Watershed Project presents the Minimizing Nutrient Loss Workshop. The program on Tuesday, December 10th at noon will feature speakers Laurie Nowatzke with ISU Extension and Shane Wulf with the Iowa Department of Ag and Land Stewardship, as well as a panel of area farmers. Bryce.Lidtka is project coordinator for the South Skunk Watershed Project and says the panelists will discuss Iowa’s Nutrient Reduction Strategy, and the farming practices associated with the efforts to reduce nutrient runoff in Iowa’s rivers and streams. The event will be held at the Musco Technology Center at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, and is free and open to all.
