While the Knoxville Girls basketball Squad had the night off, the Panthers will host Oskaloosa this afternoon in non conference battle. The Panthers are 2-0 and coming off a 63-56 win over Van Meter on Tuesday. The Indians have stumbled out of the gates early on with a one-and-two record. Knoxville Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KRLS Sports he expects Oskaloosa to use its post player a lot, and that is what he wants to take away.

Uitermarkt:
“When they come down most times they want to get it inside to her, so we’re going to do what we can to keep the ball out of her hands. I don’t feel like shooting threes is what they want to do. We’re going to pressure the heck out of the ball to cause turnovers.”

The Indians are just 6/30 from three point range and shoot 31% overall. The varsity is scheduled to tip off at 3:30.
