The Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad finally broke through to get their first win of the season on Friday night, defeating Mormon Trail 44-29. The Sabers were led by Chloe Swank with 19 points. Coach Trent Verwers told KRLS Sports they did not turn the ball over as much, which helped. The boys fell to the Saints 61-51. Coach Blake McWilliams said the first half was mistake filled and his team got down in too much of a hold to get out of. Jace Nichols scored 15 points to lead the Sabers. Both boys and girls travel to Albia today for a matinee double header starting at two.
