A local student-athlete has announced his commitment to play collegiate athletics. Pleasantville’s Cale Anthony announced on social media Sunday that he has committed to play football at Iowa State University.

The running back will join a program on the rise, finishing this year with its third consecutive winning season. The Cyclones will face Notre Dame in the Camping World Bowl on December 28th.

Anthony was named a first-team member in Class 1A District 7, as well as a first-team all-state selection. He finished with 1,793 yards rushing this season, the most in Class 1A, as well as 25 touchdowns.
