The Pleasantville Trojans basketball teams have been off to a fantastic start, with the boys at 3-1, and the girls 4-1.

The girls have been led offensively by Senior Josie Hutchings and Junior Faith Vanderhart both averaging 8.8 per game, followed by Sophomores Malorie McKinney with 8.2 and Adi Adreon’s 7.6 per game.

The Boys offense has come through Sophomore Mason Sheve’s 12.8 points per game and his outstanding 65 percent 3 point percentage. Right being him with 12.5 points per game is senior Brady Powers.  This is Head coach Joel Allman on his team’s offensive success.

“It’s more so right now about just knowing what there strengths are, whether they’re able to shoot from 3 or not, and then once we get more data from season we’ll be able to identify which areas of the court guys are strongest at.”

The Pleasantville Trojans are back on the court this Friday, when they host Des Moines Christian. You can hear these games live on the KNIA3 stream with coverage for the girls beginning at 6, with the boys following.
