The first annual Simpson College Policy Hackathon will take place next week, hosted by the John C. Culver Public Policy Center. The hackathon invites those interested in discussing the most important economic challenges the world will face over the next decade, as well as voting on policy positions on how to address those issues. Director of the John C. Culver Public Policy Center Seth Anderson tells KNIA News the center welcomes all discussion regardless of political beliefs, as they take no positions, doesn’t support any party or candidate, and they welcome all to come and interact. The results from the event will be presented at the Greater Good Gathering, a national conference at Columbia University in New York in February. The Simpson College Policy Hackathon will be next Tuesday from 4-7pm. Pre-registration is required, find more information about registration below.
