A burst of snow is expected to impact the region Friday. A winter storm is bringing moderate to heavy snowfall starting Friday morning and continuing through the evening. Widespread amounts of 3-5 inches are expected, with higher totals possible depending on the track of the storm and the potential for freezing rain and sleet. Travel will be hazardous Friday and Saturday, as after snow tapers off, gusty winds up to 40 MPH are possible statewide. Additionally, wind chills are expected to dip well below zero throughout the weekend. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest weather information.
