town-talk

An opportunity for the Knoxville community to learn more about the Knoxville Schools Facilities Project is coming up. A special Town Talk event sponsored by Thrive Knoxville will be held Wednesday, January 29th at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center at 5 p.m. Knoxville Schools Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News residents of Knoxville should come to the Town Talk because they will have a better opportunity to learn about the bulk of the project that will be on bond issue to be voted on, on March 3rd. Pearson says she knows it can be a lot of information to take in and by taking part in the Town Talk people can learn while sharing their concerns. She says the goal of the Knoxville School District is to make sure voters are the most informed before they head to the polls. Attendees will hear more about what impact the project will have on the community as well as learn more about the scope of the project and why it is important. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the project and share their thoughts during a community discussion.
