Dangerous arctic air has settled into the region, with frigid wind chills expected through Tuesday morning. Overnight lows will dip well below zero, and the wind will make it feel like it’s as cold as 20 below zero during nighttime into the morning. Wind chills at these temperatures can impact exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. All residents should avoid prolonged outdoor time and should wear proper winter gear if needing to be outside. A gradual warm up is expected by Wednesday, but with it, chances for precipitation may return as well. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest winter weather information.
