It is just two days until the Knoxville Coaches vs. Cancer event and the girls basketball squad is eagerly awaiting the day. One player who has had a front row seat to the event is Tara Uitermarkt. Her parents, Jim and Angie have headed the event up for its entirety and she says it gets a little crazy around the house this time of year, but she is proud of how her parents have worked hard to make this event a success.

Uitermarkt:
“Year around they’re working on it, so it’s not like it’s just this time of year, all year around they’re working on it. Our basement, full of auction items, I’m just stepping around things and thinking, oh don’t break this. It’s just crazy and they put so much work into it, I’m just proud of them for it.”

KNIA/KRLS will be broadcasting live throughout the event at Knoxville High School on Saturday, and the games against Chariton will be live on 95.3 KNIA at six.
