The Indianola Public Library is open for normal hours after being closed for two weeks for painting and minor additions. Director Michele Patrick tells KNIA News the new look and additions will serve the public well.

“We installed five new outlets on the floor on the adult side. That’s very popular, a lot of people come to the library with their computers and they need plugins, so that’s a big addition for us. We closed for two weeks to paint, and had to remove some wallpaper that had been on the wall for 35 years, removed all of that, repaired the walls, and painted.”

Patrick also said she appreciates the work done by the local company First Ave Painting and Decorating, especially because there was some extensive damage to the walls from the wallpaper.
