The Pleasantville Trojans went up to Des Moines Christian last night and unfortunately both the boys and girls lost. The Girls game ended 59-41, the Trojans played well but the Des Moines Christians Lions just didn’t make many mistakes to allow the Trojans to get back in the game.

The Trojans were led in points by Sophomore Malorie Mckinney with 23.
The boys game was neck and neck the entire game until the end, when fatigue finally caught up with the Trojans due to regular starter Teron Mount being out for the game due to a concussion.

The Trojans were led on offense by Mitch Harkin who had 20 points and Mason Sheve who had 16.

Despite the loss, Head Coach Joel Allman was very proud of his team for the effort put in last night.

“What I told the guys in the locker room is that they played hard and I can go to sleep at night knowing that even though we lost, we played really hard and for the most part we were executing.”

The next Pleasantville Trojans game will be Tuesday at Chariton, with the girls playing first at 6:00pm, and the boys following.
