The Pleasantville boys basketball team stepped out of conference play Monday evening, hosting Clarke in boys-only action, picking up an 81-67 win. The Trojans had an unbelievable start to the game, outscoring Clarke 26-0 in the first quarter. The teams were even in the second, and the Trojans were outscored by 12 in the second half, but the first quarter lead was too much for Clarke to overcome.

The Pleasantville boys and girls will be back in action this evening, hitting the road to Chariton for a non-conference doubleheader. The boys will look to carry the momentum from the win, while the Pleasantville girls will try to snap a nine-game skid. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Chariton High School.
