The Knoxville City Council met in special session Thursday. The council took part in a Knoxville Economic Development Corporation Home Tour. The tour featured Bob Wims with KEDC informing the council about the progress KEDC has made over the past three years. Wims told the council that seven homes were built by KEDC for an assessed value of $1,834,500. Wims also shared what KEDC would like to be a part of the VA District and help build homes on the south side of Pleasant Street in 2020. Wims says KEDC has sold all of the homes they have built except for the home the council toured at 1001 N. Harlan.
