Knoxville’s Special Olympians took a trip to Des Moines recently to participate in a basketball skills competition. The event was held Thursday, January 30th and featured students taking part in dribbling events, shooting events, and passing events. Several students from the team were able to place 1st in their individual categories, allowing them to advance to the Mid-Winter Tournament in Iowa City on March 13th and 14th.
