The Knoxville Bowling Squads had successful seasons with the boys sending Keegan McCarty to the state meet where he finished 34th overall. Coach Shaun Renard told KRLS Sports both teams just missed out on state berths, but he was pleased with the body of work this season.

Renard:
“We had a good showing, had a couple kids that struggled a little with their spares, but in all honesty the kids did very well. I was not upset with them at all. The girls lost by 42 pins, the team that knocked them out had a really good baker game to knock them out, so we have a really strong showing at sub state.”

Renard was happy with McCarty’s day at the state meet. He adds while they will take hits with graduations this season, he is confident the younger players will fill in and make the team just as competitive as it was this year.
