Going into the season, the Knoxville Girls Bowling Squad knew they would be young and a bit inexperienced in several areas. Coach Shaun Renard tells KRLS Sports he was happy with how the season went after the state qualifying meet when the Panthers came close to another trip to the state meet.

Renard:
“The girls lost by 42 pins, the team that knocked them out had a really good Baker game, which is what took them out as well. We had a really strong showing at the substate, but could couldn’t make the ticket.”

The Panthers will say so long to seven seniors after this season. Renard says many of the younger girls have an opportunity to step into varsity positions next year.
