While the Class 2A state tournament continues without Pella Christian this week in Des Moines, 2020 was still another notch in the tremendous tradition of excellence over the past three decades. Pella Christian entered their 15th state tournament with 25 wins, good for 8th all-time in Iowa High School Basketball History. Head Coach Larry Hessing finished this season with 650 career wins and made his 12th-ever trip to state at the helm of the Eagles program. The Eagles ended 2020 with a 13-11 overall record and have 11 seniors moving on from the program.
