pleasantville-3

The Pleasantville boys basketball team went .500 on the season with a roster they viewed as one of the most talented they’d had in some time. The Trojans alternated wins and losses in their final 15 games, and were plagued with injuries. Head Coach Joel Allman says that his team was shorthanded in 12 of those 15 games.

“The last 12 games, we didn’t play with a full lineup in any of those games, until I-35, our first round tournament game. And the reason for that is we had injuries, where our big buy Teron Mount was out five games because of a concussion. As soon as he was able to come back, Tagen Douma got influenza so he was out three games. And as soon as Tagen came back, Teron landed on someone’s ankle. So it was just a string of a little bit of bad luck.”

The Trojans eventually went 1-1 in the postseason, and they say goodbye to five seniors.
