The City of Knoxville has announced that in an effort to implement social distancing practices recommended to slow the spread of COVID-19, the City of Knoxville offices, including City Hall, Police Department, Fire Station and Public Works will be closed to the public effective today at 5:00 p.m. until further notice.  Knoxville City Manager Aaron Adams tells KNIA/KRLS News the closure is in the best interest of the city staff and the public. He says the city wants to ensure they continue with continuity of government and it is their goal to be back open for service as soon as possible. Adams says while facilities are closed to walk-in traffic, City Services will continue to be available online, via email or by phone.
