indianola-3

Despite most spring sports not even beginning practice, the Indianola girls track and field team were glad to get some competition in before the cancellation. Competing at UNI, the Indians had several top finishes in their only meet of the season. Top 10 finishes for the Indians included
Grace Gioffredi placed 4th in the 60m, Bailey Blake placed 7th in the 400m, Emily Naughton placed 9th in the 800m, 4x200m relay placed 9th, 4×800 relay placed 9th, and Alivia Bauer placed 10th in the shot put. Head coach Kim Arndt tells KNIA Sports it was good they at least got to compete this year, even if just for a little bit.

“We did have some girls get the competition in, so that was nice to see them out there. It might have been good or bad, because it might have been a big tease for them but they all performed outstanding there, which might even hurt a little more because it raised the expectations even higher.”
