indianola-3

The Indianola Community School District will be providing lunches for district students ages 3-18 starting today. The lunches will be “grab-and-go” and served on a daily basis, available Monday-Friday for the duration of the school closure. Assistant Superintendent Ron Lorenz tells KNIA News the district made it a priority to be able to provide meals to students who might not be able to get one while school is out, and through the hard work of the food service personnel and others in the district this was possible. The lunches will be provided at: Emerson and Whittier Elementary from 11:30am-12:30pm, Laura Ingalls Wilder from 11:30am-1:00pm, and Weinman Insurance (311 E 2nd Ave) from 11:30 to 12:30, with the bus located in the Northeast corner of the parking lot. One meal per child will be distributed from school busses parked in designated areas, and are not intended to be consumed on-site.
