Map of Pella Regional's Main Campus During COVID-19 Pandemic

To protect the health of patients, their families, and staff due to the recent cases of COVID-19 in Iowa, Pella Regional Health Center and its family of clinics in Pella, Knoxville, Ottumwa, and Prairie City, will temporarily suspend all non-essential treatments, testing, and appointments effective Monday, March 30, 2020.

Non-essential care is defined as that which is not time-sensitive for medical reasons. Providers will review upcoming appointments and determine what is deemed essential and non-essential for each patient. Patients with scheduled appointments, treatments, and testing affected by this policy are being contacted by phone to reschedule. Patient appointments will proceed as scheduled if you do not receive a call from your provider or care team member. Patients with regularly scheduled appointments are asked to contact their provider prior to your upcoming appointment if respiratory or infectious symptoms develop.

Beginning Thursday, March 26, Pella Regional Health Center’s Medical Clinic in Prairie City will temporarily suspend evening and Saturday clinic hours. The clinic will close at 5 pm Monday through Friday and remain closed on Saturday.

Visitor screening is now taking place at Pella Regional’s Comfort House before entering the facility. At this time, we recommend children refrain from visiting Comfort House patients. Should a patient family decide to bring children to the Comfort House; we ask they remain in the patient’s room.

Pella Regional is currently monitoring this evolving situation as it unfolds throughout Iowa and the nation.
