Several meals have already been distributed by the Pella Community School District during the ongoing COVID-19 closure.

Pella Schools Superintendent Greg Ebeling says 350 meals were distributed on the first day of the offering this past Tuesday, and had up to nearly 500 on Thursday.

Currently, the Pella Community School District is offering meals to any child living in the district borders, regardless of school affiliation, with curbside pickup at Jefferson Intermediate, Pella High School, and Lincoln Elementary from 10:30 to 11 a.m., with additional time available at Jefferson only until 12:30 p.m.. Ebeling says registration is encouraged at coronavirus.pellaschools.org, but not required, as they want to make sure any child doesn’t go hungry. Starting on Wednesday, April 1st, Ebeling says multiple meals will be distributed one week at a time. Hear more about the latest with Pella Community Schools on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
