A Knoxville man was arrested Sunday on charges stemming from an incident which occurred this past February. According to court documents, on February 20th officers responded to a call in the 1100 block of Woodland Drive in Knoxville for the report of a robbery. When officers arrived they spoke with the victim who told them she had attempted to leave the residence when 39-year-old John Followill, Jr. of Knoxville grabbed her, physically assaulted her and shoved her head into the floor. Officers observed blood on the victim’s thumb and a bump on her head. The victim told officers that when she tried to leave, Followill Jr. would not let her take her bike and threatened to beat her up. Officers spoke with a witness who said that Followill Jr. tried to take the victim’s purse. Followill Jr. was arrested and charged with robbery 2nd degree, a class C felony.
