This year’s KNIA/KRLS Radio Active Bingo Grand Prize Winner was announced Wednesday, and Lana Rankin of Knoxville was selected as the lucky winner of the $1,000 grand prize. When informed about her winnings, Rankin told KNIA/KRLS that she would rather have the prize money go to people in need in the community as they deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance to Rankin’s wishes, KNIA/KRLS will pay it forward and donate the $1,000 prize money to benefit people in the community. The selfless act by Rankin is another example of the residents of Knoxville coming together to help others in their time of need.
