After several windmills in the Netherlands had banners placed on their blades to honor healthcare workers, Pella Historical Society and Museums joined in to recognize those individuals locally.

Pella Historical Employee Elaine Van Wyk made a banner, and Miller Jim Brandl installed it on the Vermeer Windmill, where it is now displayed during a time of closure for the normally busy tourist destination.
