The Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released a tentative schedule if students are able to return to class on May 1st.

Chris Cuellar is the Communications Director of IHSAA, and says a joint plan between the two high school sports organizations would have spring practice starting on the 1st of May, with competition beginning as soon as the following week (see below):

The summer sports schedule for baseball and softball will be addressed sometime over the next week, as the spring proposal would push all state competitions into early June — about two to three weeks into the summer season. Also, there are ongoing discussions about what crowds could be allowed–if any, and all would be tied to what CDC guidelines are if competitions are again allowed.
