A Pella Christian girls soccer senior is continuing her competitive career in Orange City.

Emma Dunsbergen intends to join Northwestern College and the women’s soccer team this fall. Dunsbergen wanted initially to stay close to her brother at Dordt, and found a sense of caring from the Red Raiders coaching staff both on and off the pitch.

“I looked into Dordt and Northwestern, and I just really liked the atmosphere at Northwestern — I really liked the campus…it seems like they put your faith a little bit more into your own hands so I wanted challenge myself with that.

“I also met with both of the soccer teams and I just really clicked with the Northwestern soccer team — the girls were so nice and we all got along really well.”

Dunsbergen will join current teammate and fellow defender Anna Van Zee at Northwestern this fall.
