Saturday would have been the season opener at the Knoxville Raceway. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the State of Iowa’s restrictions on mass gatherings, the raceway has been forced to postpone the season until at least May second. Disappointing for drivers and fans alike, but 360 driver Jamie Ball tells KNIA Sports he is confident that the season and his season, which was to run in the 360 class at Knoxville and run select races in the Midwest, will get started.

Ball:
“I was gearing up for a Midwest run with Knoxville full time and in the Midwest and was just looking forward to being home and going racing with my family and friends, and now that’s been put on hold, but in the grand scheme of things as long as people are staying safe Knoxville will have a season.”

Ball had raced the last few seasons with the Lucas Oil A-S-C-S National series…which is the top touring 360 series in the nation…and last season ran a true outlaw schedule. 95.3 and 94.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com is your home for live flag-to-flag racing from the Knoxville Raceway each night spring cars are in action starting with Live Track Side at five and Race Night’s Live at seven.
