One local family has been teaming up to produce needed personal protective equipment for medical professionals. Dennis Fogle with Pivot AM–a Pella company providing comprehensive repair and maintenance on production 3D printing equipment, has been leveraging his access in the 3D printing industry to create face shields. Fogle says he’s been procuring material and manufacturing pieces — and his children and stepchildren have been putting them together into donations for local hospitals. Additionally, Fogle says Mahaska Bottling has been donating clear Pepsi bottles for the shield parts and Pella Engraving has been helping provide supplies as well.
