The Indianola baseball team is preparing for the season to occur this summer, and despite not having the ability for team activities are planning on a fast start. Head coach Casey Aldridge tells KNIA Sports he knows his guys will be working hard individually to stay in shape and get ready for the season, and he wants them to not heed rumors and listen to official sources.

“I think and hope the association have thought about the seniors and their last hurrah, as long as it is a safe situation. That’s the ultimate goal, is keeping them safe and making decisions that benefit everybody including our athletes. I don’t really know, and a lot of coaches don’t know, and we are just listening to the association, our athletic directors, and the governor. We don’t need to listen to to those who say we might not have a season. We just need to keep that sliver of hope we have a season and hang on to that.”

Aldridge also said safety is the most important thing to determine if there is a season or not, but he hopes his seniors get a chance to play.
