The Indianola City Council approved the participation in the Greater Des Moines Partnership Small Business Recovery Program. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city will provide approximately $33,000 in funding to the program, with another $8,000 provided by private investments which will be matched by the partnership for a total of approximately $49,000 available to local businesses. Waller said grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 will be awarded to local businesses who go through an application process through a third party approved by the Greater Des Moines Partnership, which will then go to the Indianola City Council for final approval. The application process will be released as soon as it is finalized, and all funds provided by the City of Indianola and the private investment will go towards Indianola businesses.
