What was supposed to be a fun filled track and field season and possibly a chance to run at the Famous Blue Oval in Des Moines for Melcher-Dallas Senior Kaylee Maeschen, quickly crumbled into a season that never happened. However Maeschen is moving on and will take with her memories of her first three years with the Saints, and hopes that future team members do not take the opportunity to bond as a team and learn from the coaches.

Maeschen:
“Usually the first meets aren’t the best and as the season goes on, find your goal time and do your best. Track is an individual thing. It’s also a team event with relays and you can always cheer for your teammates, because cheering does help.”
