The Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union will be issuing guidance next week as it relates to having summer sports return in the state on June 1st.

Chris Cuellar with the IHSAA says there were some preparations made before Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Department of Education announced they would be allowed again.

Cuellar says it will be largely left to school districts and conferences to draft schedules, which will become more formalized over the next week as more specific details about crowd restrictions, transportation considerations, and health protocols are released.
